The Perseids are active from July 17 through August 24, 2026. Their traditional maximum occurs around August 13 UTC, so August 12 into the early hours of August 13 is the primary viewing window for much of North America.
The IMO gives the 2026 traditional maximum as roughly 02:00–04:00 UTC on August 13. This page automatically converts that window to your browser’s local time. At mid-northern latitudes, the radiant becomes more useful around 10–11 p.m. local time and rises higher later.
The radiant is near Perseus, generally toward the northeast for northern observers. Meteors can streak far from the radiant, so a broad unobstructed view is better than staring at one point.
